I dance in the wind.
It rushes across my face
and chills my very bones,
but I tap my toes
and let the waving
tendrils of the
willow tree intermix
with my own hair.
On we dance,
just the two of us.
She flows gracefully
in one place.
I find my arms
around her middle
and my lips against
her bark.
I hold her and
she holds me
as my tears
trail down her trunk.
